Hi all Just stripped my gearbox for my Autograss project, it has come with the 3.33 1st Gear and the 1.9.. 2nd but it has the 3.89 diff now i really need something shorter around the 4.6:1 mark is there anything I have seen 5.1 cwps advertised, but from what model? The best bit about this box...

it would be nice to find a 4.6 or 5.1 crown wheel and pinion to fit it now though or a broken dog box for just 1st and 2nd!

i used to have welded diff on a mini years ago, trouble is is a pain in the proverbial to move them about, so always some sort of slipper now.

I would much rather the plated gripper or a Tran x any day over the ATB, I do like the tug of a tight diff! :)

No the diameter of the shafts, I dont have a gripper apparently i have a quaiffe, but Ive not opened it and looked yet!

The mounts gearchange and all that rubber guff can be forgotten the engine will sit in a craddle that bolts in place of the front lower panel and the front rear cross member, and I will make up a linkage to suit. Quite a lot larger arn't they?

Ah didnt know that frank so the drive flange is the same as small engine, or just hubs?

I need later style large drive shafts and front hubs for my Grass track Class 4 Project, I have small 998 type already and need the larger ones for my 1300 late LSD Gearbox.

Actually I have just bored my cg10 to 73 mm, and there is 1.5mm left after finding a water damaged block i sectioned it and measured the liners, and mine were 3.5mm thick, but even bored out they are still quite sturdy as there is loads of Ally that overlaps the top of the bore and the bottom to...

I would go for the Corsa piston as they have a good top ring land but also the lower land to skirt is much more thicker giving the whole ring pack more support, especially with a boosted engine , and of course they are bigger too so more CC's so more torque too, if worried about comp ratio use...
