    checked all vacuum lines? and crankcase ventilation too? catalystic converter ok? any exhaust leaks? jumping a tooth is a rally hard task. The chain must be really slack or oil pressure VERY low. But i'm no proffesional on that.

    possible but chances aren't high. except fo that, K&Ns aren't worht the trouble. Just get a proper regular air filter. don't take the cheapest.

    Yes. i did fool myself. -.- It took me 2 days. trying to put it back on was a pain in the rear. I didn't loose the engine mount in the middle and in the end it must have prevented the gearbox from being able to put straight back on. (engine was twisted a little bit) figuring it out wasn't easy. ?

    of cours i don't expect it to be as easy as a wheelchange :D but less complicated than a timing chain swap. i've seen some pictures from frank, where the CV-Axle seem to be still on, that's what got me thinking it could be realy easy.

    should have tried small lightweight steelies on the micra... makes a big difference in acceleration, although motorway is always a problem for the short but tall formfactor and small engine.     measure the voltage while engine is running to check if the alternator is ok. Engine on without any other electrics should be ~14V and get lower with every electric device you turn on, but should always stay above 12V

    what kind of sound do you hear? Do you have powersteering? If you want to change the Belt it's the safest bet to take the same, as the one you already have.
