    My new wheels

I thought the front bumper looked rubbish so I undid the one bolt holding it on and took it to my shed. Chopped out the lower grille, sanded flat with wet n dry. The only paint I had was half a tin of 'poundland special' black gloss. Ran out after 2 coats so if you look really closely along the...

    My new wheels

Lol, I don't have a choice, it's too far gone to get it back to show condition. Found a job to do when I get my new welder. The front suspension mounting is rusted away and has been filled with newspaper and glue. Also the wishbones could use some 3mm plates welding to them to make them...

    My new wheels

Taken from wiki: You can really see this when you jack it up and the doors won't open.

    My new wheels

Both rear wheels are that far forward lol. As for the bumper, it was the first time I'd driven it. As I parked I discovered the brakes aren't any good and stuffed it into the wall, cracking the bumper a bit more. That's the best thing about having a french car, I didn't even get upset.

    My new wheels

Citroen AX 10 Good points: MOT til december. Bad points: After having a good look at it it's been in at least one accident and been repaired very badly. Oil is white and exhaust is smokey. Everything else. Mods so far include tacho/oil pressure/volt/water temp gauge as the car doesn't...

    Post pics of your exhaust

It's the sweetest exhaust I've ever had, it wasn't that loud either cos the cats were still in. Passed an MOT with it, MOT man didn't even comment. I think I had a pic in my blog but can't find my blog lol. Before that i had a 3 inch Savage exhaust and it sounded rough, like a tractor.

Dawsons Micra - Project "postman pat"

Conductive paint? I think you'll find lead will last a lot longer that paint. I but a bit of solder on mine and it lasted ages (might still be going)

    Intermittent Not Working?

It's easy enough to change, I don't have my Haynes anymore but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to talk you through it. If not just keep undoing bolts til it falls out. Take the wipers off, then look around the motor for bolts.

i dunno what to do :(

I've only ever owned coke cans, I did drive a mondeo a few times and the puma but I felt disconnected from the road. I prefer cars with no power steering and where you can feel the road though your seat.

    Intermittent Not Working?

Mine was the relay, it would also stop wherever you turned the wipers off. I never fixed it so can't tell you exactly how.

i dunno what to do :(

If you want a car that won't rot get a citroen AX, galvanised panels, some plastic ones too. Cheaper than a micra to insure, great on fuel. There's hundreds about for next to nothing, I just bought one for £250. Then save up for a better car.

Google maps is really out of date

At least you didn't notice the reliant robin website :p I live in a tiny village so didn't expect to be on there til my bruv called me and told me.

    Post pics of your exhaust

I can't find a pic but I just replaced my backbox with a length of 38mm pipe, it sounded great, not too deep, and cost practically nothing. Looked standard too.

PistonHeads.com: Slash Alcohol Limit To 20mgs Says Brake

We aren't saying people shouldn't enjoy a drink with their meal, just don't drive afterwards. Drink away and have a designated driver/taxi

Dawsons Micra - Project "postman pat"

Just fix it, it's not worth the cost of a new one.

Dawsons Micra - Project "postman pat"

Those ones are the best standard alloys IMO. I found my alloys were heavier than my steelies but I think it's cos I had such wide tyres on them.

    Where can I find...

Got to halfords and buy a roll of 17 amp cable and some spade connectors, may as well do it properly.

    Where can I find...

Fit a relay then it doesn't need to be able to take much current
