    knocking noise

+1 The rods wear a little hole in the tappets and mess up the reading. I just set them by trial and error, although I found the K10 always ran better a bit tappety

Good to her you got it going. It might be you need a new battery, it should then start ok. Batteries don't like being sat for a while. I have a new battery lying around, PM me if you want it.

Star of Japshow: The car drew sooo much attention!

Are you sure it was the car getting the attention? :p I think it's better to have an ultra rare standard car than have the usual riced up civics etc.

    My new wheels. (pic heavy)

Very nice. Anything planned for her? The old minis had the dials in the middle, never a problem tbh.

    Cherry Bomb Info

Andrew16v, that exhaust is stuck out too far and should be an mot fail. If you want to know what a cherry bomb sounds like just remove your backbox and start her up. It's sounds exactly the same.

    Oil question

Then you have a leak in your oil system, don't blame halfords for your servicing skills lol

    Oil question

Nope, don't trust halfords, they aren't mechanics. I used 10w40 and that was fine but go with the haynes manual, they are always right.

Tempted to blow micra up (not literally)

Power caps do exactly #### all. 2000w peak power means about 500w RMS, it's not gunna kill your battery. The weight is also not an issue, it's a micra, not a high precision track tool. Hope that helps

    Need Help, Micra Dead.

Check your ignition switch works. Use a whole can of WD40 cleaning up all the connections. Check you're getting voltage at the fuse box. If you are work towards the ignition. If not then work back towards the battery.

    passenger seat belt "blew up"

You're lucky you didn't blow a finger off lol. Personally I'd try to get a seatbelt system without pre-tensioners

    Free: car ramps

Ramps what you drive your car onto, what more can I say lol. They seem solid enough, but collect and use at your own risk. Much safer to use than a jack, but I like to use axle stands as well for extra safety. I can't use them as my drive isn't level enough.

The worst your car has looked

What's the worst state your car has ever been in? Today I had to strip down the whole front end to get to a bit of rust on the chassis leg. Took an hour to strip down, weld and rebuild. I undid a total of 3 bolts. These cars go together like lego.

12v auxiliary power not working + minor problem with electric windows

Maybe, do what was advised earlier and check all your fuses

12v auxiliary power not working + minor problem with electric windows

The stereo shares a fuse with the 12v aux socket, 10 amp IIRC, might be a 15. You probably blew it when removing the stereo.

Put Diesel in the petrol tank Help needed :0

If it's only bit (5% or so) it shouldn't do much damage, might smoke a bit. A bit more and it may clog the cat, the 0xygen sensor etc. As said, drain it and replace the filter, should be fine.
