When welding now I used a LED work light shining on the area I am welding. This helps me see what I am working on with the self dimming visor in place, obviously when actually welding it doesn't make any difference but it really helps with getting the weld started in the right place. Very useful...

This is with the Suretrac diff, I spotted it as I use witness paint on hub nuts. By the end of the first event using the car with the LSD it had undone by a bout 3/4 of a turn.... I get the same effect on our MGZR with a Quaife LSD

I use the Nissan Note hub nut which is Nyloc, and then a load of thread lock. I found the action of the LSD was undoing the NS hub nut!

It will be fine with just those bolts left its not under massive strain. I cut away nearly all of the bumper support bracket on the rally car. A whole load of weight saving :)

Did an airfield sprint in the ZR, came 14th overall (~45 cars) and 1st in class, pleased to beat a almost new Fiesta ST 1.6 Turbo, which was remapped to 260~300bhp (depending on who you believe) and sticky race tyres (we had standard road tyres).

What are your gearbox plans?

Nice to see some proper work going on here, but once this dry weather ends (please do soon!). You may want to move it up. One deep puddle or a ford, and it will be new engine time, they don't like the fact that water can't be compressed...

I used a small bit of silicon sealant to hold them in place.

I think there should be a car sized drive through dip, which is full of Krust. You could then drive through and coat the whole of the underside and treat and rust in an instant!

75w-90 GL4 but why, there shouldn't be a need to change unless you are doing work on the gearbox.

I work with gas standards in my day job, please get the final gas installation bit done by a Gas Safe engineer. I have seen the consequences of when it goes wrong, it is not pretty...

I little bit of black silicon sealant will hold those washer jets in place just fine. I did that upgrade years ago to the Micra. Plus additional pipes which run along the wiper arms with an additional pump. This runs off a small (1ltr) bottle mounted in the middle of the car for better weight...

Tried Nissan? If not then try then, or if you don’t have to have brand new get down the scrap yard....

MSA Spec plastic windows are same weight (if not a bit more) than normal nissan glass which is naturally thin. So not worth the hassle. Lifting a inside rear wheel isn't really an issue though, it is part of FWD driving. Never caused me an issue I run OEM ARB's for good turn in grip, has won me...
