Stop me from following the trend!

They were very reliable after they fixed certain problems on the original 850cc Mini like every time it rained car would stop due to water in the distributor. Distributor right up the front and in heavy downpours they would stop. Guess in merry England they did not have torrential rain. My first...

Stop me from following the trend!

Toma you buy the original Mini and I will be around every weekend to help you do whatever you want to it. The closest thing you will ever get to driving a go cart on the roads legally. Yeah I know its safety features are non existing the driving position is well demanding to say the least...

    Can't Help Myself

Says the turbo kit is a direct bolt on. Nothing about changing the compression ratio. I think the turbo kit would only give you small boost maybe like 4/5psi.Trying to find out.Comes with front mounted intercooler. Cisco you are a real stirrer. Could always drop in the M18A engine. What am I...

    Can't Help Myself

Hmm. Warm forged pistons as well as being oil jet cooled. Does this mean engine near its limits or built in safety factor just waiting to be exploited? Probably the first.

    Can't Help Myself

Not sure. The aftermarket bolt on turbo kit is just that without any engine mods but guess its for low boost. Trying to find out but being a new model guess no one has been there yet.

    Can't Help Myself

I doubt I will ever have another vehicle that could pull like Whitey. I mean I used to wonder without really trying why everyone else was so far behind after lights went green. Swifty does take a bit to wind up.Starts to work best above 4000 rpm. What else? Cold air induction/lighweight...

    Can't Help Myself

Oh well have ordered a set of extractors for the Swift plus wacking on a baffle free aftermarket sports muffler.Bloody thing too quiet and miss the growl of a sports muffler. Rest of the exhaust looks fine and being 2" already no need to change. Done 640kls and its starting to free up. Brakes...

    G'day, i'm new.

Welcome DeNs. Car looks very clean and I am sure you will have many years of fun in your Micra. I would definately look at upgrading the front brakes to Nissan Pulsar N13 ( direct bolt on) and wider rim/tyre. Even going to 14" will make a world of differance. A Whiteline Hd sway bar up front...

Cisco the stirrer has spoken. Master how can I refuse your command ? You need to set up a sub site for people who own Swifts and Micras.

    Goodbye White Knight

WEll yes Cisco. Its 2006 v 1995. I am already missing the grunt of Whitey off the line but hell the Suzuki is so refined. Can't hear the engine at idle, far better sound insulation, more creature comfort all round. Maybe I am getting old? The Suzuki has a nice firm ride without being too choppy...

Renault & Nissan to share a bed with GM?

Its like all the major cars companies are being fused together which is good in some ways and bad also. When companies get big the bean counters tend to take over and innovative/creative/skunk room stuff flies out the window.
