hi all dont have a angle guage, so what torque for the head bolts? will 64ft pds be enough?

to test the clutch stop the car on the side of the road and put it into 4th gear and release the clutch pedal... if the car stalls straight away then the clutch is ok, but if it takes a few seconds to stall then the clutch is worn... also, if you are losing power check your dizzy and spark...

we know the injectors are firing all the time as they are flooding the cylinders and upon disconnection the car will begin to stutter... but while connected it wont even make a slight sound of firing.... do most mechanics have a nissan consult machine or do i have to take it to nissan? will...

because we may have found out why my engine hasnt been starting... the injectors are staying full open upon starting it... when we disconnected the injectors it would stutter and stall... compression is kind of low on all cylinders, but that could be because of the extra fuel in there mixing...

ok, nrma guy came out and i told him what i had done and he double checked everything i said i had we have spark injector pulse petrol and when we poured petrol down the intake it did nothing while turning over... no cough or splutter... i think my engine is DOA

hi all still cant get my new motor started... i have changed distributor injectors intake manifold/ AFM spark plugs tryed 2 sets of leads not starting :(

i tried with 2 sets of leads and only got spark in cylinder 1.... i guess ill have to find a dizzy... and with the rotation of the dizzy, i think thats while it is running you rotate it 1 point at a time with a timing light on the engine to find the correct spot for it.... i think it should...

hi all if the dizzy is stuffed it wont allow the motor to start? does the dizzy tell the injectors when to fire? i think only cylinder 1 is getting spark now... so i guess i will need a new distributor.. what price am i looking at for one? does repco sell them or do i have to get it from...

hi all has anyone got any pictures of the battery area in a k11 super s? ive looked in a micra sl but it looks a bit different... so im thinking maybe near the terminals i have some wrong wiring? thanks

checked timing today took off the front cover and set the crank to tdc and saw that the intake cam shaft was a bit off so i adjusted to what the manual said 9 o'clock for the intake and 12 o clock for exhaust... so i bolted her all back up and cranked the car and it did a little bit of a chugg...

afm had some tape around it which i removed.... im going to have to check all the wiring again but i doubt that i missed any... it could be possible that the injectors are clogged....

yeah, fuel pump is working as i always let it pump until it stops before cranking for the first time to build up fuel pressure.... im going to change the spark plugs over and then crank without the spark plugs in it to see if the injectors are firing fuel...

all electricals are connected... i havent really read much on distributors... i have kinda put it in the same position that it was in my old engine as i didnt get one on the new engine... i didnt think that the dizzy would be able to not start the car? i just thought it would make it idle and...

hi all have finished bolting in my japspec engine... checked that the head was bolted down correctly and the pulleys were alined properly with both camshafts... i am getting spark and fuel, and upon cranking i am getting a small amount of smoke coming out the exhaust and when the key is...

it was the same when i had a rb20det, i couldnt get it off so i took it to a mechanics and put it on a hoist and it took him 30 mins of hanging off a extra long breaking bar to finally losen it... damn threadlock... it says to only put a drop... i think the last person put on the whole bottle...

i tried a 60cm pipe on the end of it and bent the handle

yeah, i got the drain plug loose, but could not get the filler plug to budge at all....

hi all cant undo the gearbox filler plug so can i fill via the speedo sender plug? thanks

ok, in gear cant move both wheels at the same time, in neutral i can... i used a torque wrench to the specified torque settings in the manual for the flywheel and the clutch pressure plate
