was pretty quiet on the bypass going to work this morning so gave it a little go, 120km/h was at just under 4k rpm in 4th on my 1ltr, could still go a bit higher, was at 3.5k in 5th

got to remember not everyone has the means/ want to do an engine swap, I'm adding a turbo to my 1.0 next year rather than engine swap. ross have you looked at induction kits? Another option to that is swapping the air box with one from an almera, that a few people on here have done

also been looking at the apex 30mm drops aswell £105 at eurocarparts and only 15 minute drive away

was looking at h&r springs 30mm drop £141 at demon tweeks and its only a 50 minute drive to get them, so i would be able to fit next weekend as soon as i got them and got back home

Why not splice into the wire as its going into the instrument cluster connector?

Thanks to talking to @pollyp and @RYB this week, i made the 2nd of 3 trips to demon tweeks and got my hand on front shock absorbers, just the lowering springs to go now.

Took a trip to demon tweeks after work, picked myself up some bilstein b4 rear shocks. Was weird though as their book for suspension had no part numbers for b4 front shocks for a facelift k11, but there was for the pre-facelifts

dizzy or coil pack engine? the looms are the same, but on the dizzy engines the ecu has no knowledge of the engine rpm. On the coil pack engine, its plug in and working tacho straight away.

I did the switches yesterday on my keys. The unlock has more room for the soldering iron / placement compared to the lock one which is pretty close to other components. I just heated one side and with some thin nose pliers twisted them off, getting the new one in place is quite fiddly

finally fixed my remote locking, required two new tactile buttons soldering into the key. not my best soldering, but it works. also checked coolant and oil levels ready for rallyfest tomorrow and started flying the msc flag

was hoping for someone else to chime in on this in regards to dizzy engines, only worked with the coil pack engines so far

that's correct, as all models will have used the same wiring loom, including the super s / sr which had a tacho in the instrument cluster

Checked the heater resistor card?

It's really quite easy to do. Just need a phillips screwdriver, single core wire ( incase of needing to extend a wire or 2 ), snips and electrical tape for the quicker route or also a soldering iron and some solder for a cleaner more permanent connection. Mine is a coil pack ignition, so my...
