This is hilarious, I can't believe it's still going! Between the name calling, the threats of going to someones house to teach them a lesson, then being warned about bad behaviour and to stop, you guys are still taking shots. Get over it!

I was browsing the trading post and came across this!
The tensioner pulley bearings are pretty much gone. I think it's going to be cheaper in the long run to replace the whole pump rather than buy the pulley from Nissan. There doesn't appear to be any aftermarket listings. Unless someone knows of one from a different car?
Thanks heaps for that...
Hi there, I was wondering if someone who has the Micra workshop manual would please be able to scan the information relating to replacing the belts for an LX Micra with no power steering or aircon, and for replacing the water pump or replacing the pulleys on it (not sure which way I'm going yet...
Damn! That's one clean Micra. I wish my red LX was in that sort of condition. :-(
I may be interested by late December/early January if it's still for sale. Love driving my Micra, but not sure if I can justify fixing it up to that sort of standard. Might be better just to buy yours.
Couldn't you just lower the boost level? Running maybe 4pisi and light foot would probably give you fuel consumption pretty damned close to standard, plus wont really stress any parts.
Sure it's not the battery? The radio can still work when the battery is on the way out, it needs far less juice to operate than what's needed to start a car.
If you are getting clicking noises that may be a tappet get some performance engine treatment. On my previous 200SX I developed this noise a while after I got it, and it was a result of the car originally using mineral based oil and I had started using synthetic. This had caused a built up of...
I don't think the turbo decreases compression, typically when you install a turbo on a non-turbo engine if you want to run at least a moderate amount of boost you will decrease the compression. This is usually done by installing a thicker head gasket.
I have a manual Micra and it does decent hills quite well. I have been going at 110-120kph in 5th and it slowly accelerates even more from there. Leave it in 4th a while and it is quite sprightly.
Don't worry about the hills too much. the car is quite light, and where in doubt just drop it...
