    Micra stereo

Same here, I just ran an earth and the rest was easy. The Halfords kit is OK, if expensive.

what did you do to your micra today ?

I'm only 44 and still love the proper bounce bounce of a lowered car.

what did you do to your micra today ?

Nice looking interior. As bought. Fixed new stereo in today. Now, where's photoshop, I need some lowering and colour coding :)

    k11 wheel arches

Personally, if they're close enough, I'd go with the Golf arches. There must be other similar curves available for other cars. It's only a radius based on 13" wheels after all.

what did you do to your micra today ?

Got my new stereo sorted. Exactly as stated, it just needed an earth as the OEM unit was earthed through the fixing screws. We also ripped out all the wiring associated with the daft Parrot hands free kit. Don't ring me, I'm driving my Micra!

what did you do to your micra today ?

Ah, thank you chaps. I'm getting one of our auto electrical engineers to take a look tomorrow, he installed the Parrot, satnav and reversing camera in the car so he knows his way around behind the (very) cluttered dash board. Ground wire makes sense though, I'll suggest that to him.

what did you do to your micra today ?

Did the throttle-body re-soldering thing in the perishing cold and snow. Bought a new stereo from Halfrauds, including the fitting loom, but it didn't work:( so I'll be taking that back. What I didn't do though is take any pictures. Naughty me. Will make amends during the week and include some...

    Ah, found the intro thread!

Harlen, Thanks for the welcome. The Cinq was OK, lowered, de-badged & trimmed, lace painted roof etc., but not too much. Hoping to take the Micra a little further.

Indeed I was! It's always a joy to be remembered. Let's see if my new whip can draw the same attention. Grinder ready...

Hello to you too! Having been away from forums over the last few years, it's good to get back to RR and this, my new home.

what did you do to your micra today ?

Er, sold a Fiat Cinquecento Sporting. Which means I can buy some stuff for my Micra! Hurrah! Stereo first then it's time to hit it with the stick. Then......after a discussion with my friend the painter, we'll be giving the roof a lace job with some Metalflake lacquer. Pictures and maybe a blog...

what did you do to your micra today ?

EnterScott, rather than black and white checkers, why not silver only to take advantage of the blue in the car with the silver matching the wheels? Obviously you're only paying for the silver then!

what did you do to your micra today ?

@Jonno, did your car ever have the aerial on the offside front pillar? Looks good by the way, I'm going to be doing mine soon, but I won't be using vinyl. After having a bright yellow car with a red roof that was easy to spot in car parks, a dark green Micra blends in too well.

what did you do to your micra today ?

^^Ooh very nice^^ I'd like to see some pro photos of that. I'm all for stock or banded steels too. Also, Rob's above looks nice too, a super drop you've got there!

    What Colour Wheels ??? --------------

OK, so I can't quite fake the silver, but I ran steels painted like this on a red car once, silver rims and black centres. The contrast with the red paint was rather nice.

what did you do to your micra today ?

On the bush front, I can recommend Strongflex having used them on my Cinquecento - they're a favourite on the Fiat crowd. Today though, I put a black rising sun graphic on my filler flap and measured some Subaru seats to put in the Micra, I suffer from a rather bad back and find the Micra...

    So this weekend

I'm voting grey inner with silver outer and am also a fan of Halfords acrylic paints. What colour is the main feature of your interior? I'm guessing medium grey, if so then that's a good colour cue to take from.

    Ah, found the intro thread!

OK, so I posted elsewhere by mistake, Hello, I'm new. Just bought a '97 1.3 SLX more door for a steal at £280. One owner from new, 67k on the clock. Metallic green. I recognise MarkBognor from over on RetroRides and know he keeps good company so I'm keen to mingle. As it's dark outside...
