    the monster slayer...

Bloody great efforts to all involved. Please video a dyno run just so we can hear those sweet sweet sounds of spool and wastgate roar etc. It's a sound i miss terribly. Reckon you should call it the Silver Bullet. OR if you're a little too heavy on the loud pedal, Smokey Silver :P Congrats and...

    Low Performance

Yeah my super s used to do that too. Hit above bout half to two thirds throttle and the AC would click off until you roll off and cruise again.

Mighty Mods Video, getting our pulsar thru rego!

Rock on guys. Really cool stuff as usual. Wish you'd shown the method you used to pop out the pistons in the calipers. I think we've all made the trip to the local servo armed with a rubber glove to "steal" some air from the tyre inflator. The pop reminded me of the hydrogen pop test in the...

found a few nice ones for sale at the auctions..

love the race ones. But there's something kinda retro cool about the Tommy one. Although I cant see myself wanting to own it over the two race prepped ones. They just look so cool with a cage fitted :P

xr5 turbo hatch, anyone know about them?

hmm about the most I know about em is that they're powered by volvo. So my guess is that parts will be prohibitively expensive, but really that's no different than most cars these days. ( Have you tried shopping at Nissan Australia lately :P )

    exhaust manifold bolts

mate grab a nut or get one of the studs out and head out to your local autopro/autobarn/repco/bolt specialist and find a match. They usually have some studs/nuts to try out your old ones on and select your new ones. That's my suggestion anyways.

    Warning light

Also the wheel cylinders (the bit that does the moving of the brake shoes inside the drum) on the rear drum brakes are known to flog the seals out and leak onto your brake shoes, requiring replacement of not only the wheel cylinders but also the soaked brake shoes. This can be a source of the...

    Warning light

yeah sounds like the brake warning light. This can be one of a few things. 1) The switch on the handbrake that tells you the hand brake is on can get gummed up and sticks, it's under the handbrake, you can see it from the cabin. 2) The wire connected to the switch under the handbrake has come...

    K13 photos

A much needed improvement and The shape has potential for mods. I think a nice body kit could be made to toughen it up a bit. But until they start releasing a manual option they'll miss out on the young male market completely. Auto = boring.

    Rear disc conversion

Well in NSw now, if you have an aftermarket exhaust fitted it must meet not only the noise restrictions as mentioned but also have a proven emmissions test too. Or the exhaust shop has had their system tested and pre approved. That's why there are some really expensive full systems available for...

    next irritating problem

The little clunk you are hearing is most likely the rear swaybar moving from side to side. I had this problem with my rear whiteline swaybar. So I purchased a 'swaybar locking kit' from them. It's essentially a little piece of poly that wraps around the swaybar next to the large D bush that...

    Clear diagram of drive belts.

Absolutely brilliant Jon! Great stuff that. What program you using for that?

    Clear diagram of drive belts.

Hmm tough one, but just think if ya need to get close to the right length you can go back to basics and pull out the cooking string and have some fun with no strings attached :P (My god that's a bad pun!) Wrap the string around the pulleys, mark where they join again and see how long the string...

    Removing original radio

Hey Mipcar, Um it's been a long time since I did this but I my memory serves me correctly, the original radio has two little brakets bolted to the side of the metal cage, which in turn bolt to the metal frame of the console. To access this I had to take the cigarette lighter, knob on the...

    Clutch pedal feel

Hmm interesting.... Is there a grinding sound associated with the clutch? Like if the car's idling with the clutch out is there a whirring or squeaking sound that disappears when you depress the clutch. If so I'd suspect the thrust bearing. Maybe it wasn't greased properly or the wrong grease...

    Rear disc conversion

yeah like a non-standard exhaust or air filter. But we all do that don't we. It's only illegal if you get caught :)

    Fuel Problem - help

Absolutely, great price on labour. Get em to do fuel filter for ya too maybe while its there. And yeah true that on the cut and re-hose option described by 33driver. It would definately need doing after 130,000km. The stuff that comes outta it would look like caramel if it hasn't been done before.
