    Stock bush removal

Ok so after a bit more reading, it looks like I could fudge it all and push them out with a couple bits of pipe and a vice or something. I'll give it a shot. lol

    Stock bush removal

Hi all, I've just received a whole bunch of polyurethane suspension bush kits for the front and back. My front and rear wishbone bushes are worn due to power steering leaks dissolving the rubber, so I thought I may as well replace the whole lot now the power steering is fixed. Having never...

FS: 96' Micra 1.3 5 speed UK import

All the Micra's sold by Nissan in the 1990's were imported from the UK which was why they didn't last in Australia, they were too expensive. Not sure about the newer ones k12 and k13 though. Of the two K11's I've had, there hasn't ever been an issue with rust, other than a bit of surface stuff...

    Oil filter change

I have always done it from underneath with the front of the car on stands and never had any issues :) you got to get under the car to undo the sump drain anyway. if you only run tha car for 10 or 15 mins, it isnt too hot under there.

thoughts on liquid to air intercooling

Yeah, I know you'd need to run a heat exchanger and need to circulate the water etc which was what I was getting at, if you have all that set up, it should be pretty good already right? :) Unless the Micra is constantly going to be on boost, then the water cooler should have been a pretty good...

Have a big reservoir that you can loads up with ice or something when you're at the track maybe?

thoughts on liquid to air intercooling

He's going to refrigerate the water in the water/air intercooler. An interesting idea I guess, but how much gain will there be once you factor in the possible extra weight and load on the engine with the upgraded batteries and alternator running all the time and the cooling equipment etc? My...

    Rough prices on parts ?

The on-dash cup holder probably AU$90-100 on here second hand, I paid I think $150 for a brand new one in box, but you'd never find one at the wreckers. There is a post earlier on here about the front and rear bumpers: https://micra.org.uk/cmf/message/74349 Rear spoiler, the JDM one with LED...

    Cabriolet in Perth

Good work wudi, About 5 or 6 years ago that cabriolet of yours appeared on a thread here and was still in the process of getting through all the Australian legalities, but it dissapeared, I asked about it more than once trying to find out what had happened to it hoping that I'd spot it first...

    Red Dog

It's an awesome movie. I've had the "privilage" of doing quite a bit of work around Karratha/Port Hedland/Pilbara region over the last few years. I'm up there for anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks at a time once or twice a year with contract survey for oil and gas. We spotted the statue on the...

    Flywheel

If you're willing to pay $600 for a flywheel, why wouldn't you import something? I know prices would have changed a bit over the years, but the ultra-light weight Jun flywheel was pretty cheap when I got it. https://micra.org.uk/cmf/message/32874...

    10th Anniversary of CMF

Nah, I don't think so either. I had only just got my first Micra then and missed out. The 2005 Canberra meet would have been good too.

    10th Anniversary of CMF

Out of curiosity, I put the sites old url into the wayback machine www.archive.org + www.micra.hl.com.au = http://wayback.archive.org/web/20010715000000*/http://www.micra.hl.com.au and it looks like I missed this sites 10th anniversary. I don't know what the exact date would have been, but...

SuperS on Ebay for you Melbourne guys

I don't mind the interior. Its way better than the Series 1 SuperS with pink and teal tartan IMO lol. That thing looks mint though, it's the factory condition version of Charlotte. No visible stone chips, trolley dents, or paint fade on the plastics. Even has the factory rims and everything.

    Installing panhard

Can you check what shape your adjustable panhard rod is? the one on evade's link has a kind at the left hand end and bends up toward where it mounts to the chassis. My one I got from Nick about 3 years ago is straight, it still fits, but there is evidence underneath that it hits the chassis on...

    knocking on left hand side

I have this too, when turning right. It's a single sometime double click/knock that sounds like it goes up through the coil spring... I had it checked out and the lower control arm bushes on the right side of the car are worn. It also is causing a big clunk over the occasional bump. Check all...

    roof rack

Sounds like those inflatable ones you can get. http://www.handiworld.com/HandiRack http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HANDIRACK-INFLATABLE-ROOF-RACKS-FIT-ALL-CARS-HOLD-80KG-/220726668124#ht_3238wt_1038 I wouldn't want to strap anything bigger than that stroller or a bicycle to it though. But the...
