    Wiring up an SR20 AFM

Thanks frank. Searching around, I'm finding that most Nissan sensors have the ground as the middle wire.

    Wiring up an SR20 AFM

I'm attempting to wire up an afm from an sr20 engine into my cg13. Specifically, the afm is 200sx SER with a red/white stripe for positive, white for negative and orange for the 5v. Firstly... Am I right in thinking that this is the standard maf? It has a green, a blue and a white/black...

    Tramp Spec

Another update. I've bolted all of the major bits down properly: Mani, tubby and exhaust. The exhaust ran where the fan used to sit, so I had to relocate it to in front of the radiator. The bodywork took a bit of fettling and cutting, but it doesn't look horrendous :) I'm not quite sure how...

    Tramp Spec

I'm steadily making progress with this, as and when I get moments. The manifold looked horrendous with all of the corrosion. I was pleasantly surprised however when I managed to remove it without sheering and studs and only rounding one nut! It didn't take me long to encounter a proper problem...

    Wideband AFR Reader

Ah okay. The cat shouldn't be a problem... Hmm, I'd forgotten about monitoring. I might have to install it properly after all

    Wideband AFR Reader

Thanks, I was hoping to leave the narrowband in and poke the wideband down the tailpipe temporarily as I would need it for another car as well and I'd rather not buy two :P

    Wideband AFR Reader

I'd like a wideband afr reader that I can put down the tailpipe of various cars. Like they do at dynos. I've been looking through the forums at what people are doing for wideband lambdas. The Innovative LC-1 seems to be the popular choice? Would one of these with a gauge do the trick if I just...

    Deactivating boost

I hope so also! Yeah, if the fuelling bits (injectors, sr20 afm and nistune) don't make it run first time then I'll sort something myself rather than chase it. Cheers for the support, watch my blog!

    Deactivating boost

I saw it on ebay and dove in. I've only read the thread today :P In fairness, the manifold and exhaust both look spot on with regards welding. Okay. Thanks for the response. I was mainly worried about damaging something such as the turbo

    Deactivating boost

I'm turboing my car. Got all the bits. (Mostly from Azzy's old build thread). I just have an odd question... On my way to get it mapped I don't want to be boosting as I'd run lean. Can I remove the wastegate actuator and wire the wastegate open via the arm that the actuator attaches to...

    Tramp Spec

I'm taking a pretty drastic turn with this now. I've always wanted to do a homebrew turbo build, but hadn't initially planned on it happening to this car in particular... Throwback to my comment in post 1 about costs spiralling! This is my manifold and T25 Garret :') Fuelling is going to be...

    Tramp Spec

Tramp Spec has returned from our venture over the pond. It never missed a beat! Front row The car in front is a Suzuki Baleno that I was travelling with. They're getting pretty rare now! We spotted this being road tested: And made a point of stopping for tea at every available...

    Tramp Spec

T'has been many moons since I posted an update here... This is of course owing to some days of the hectic variety brought on by Tramp Spec's ill health. All shall be elaborated upon. Regarding the lowness of the redline, the tach merely required setting so all is fine and dandy with that now...

    Electrical Gremlins

To be honest, the more I read, the more it sounds like it SHOULD be the 65 amp fuse. I tested the voltage from the battery to the 65 amp fuse and the voltage was arriving at it okay. The fuse appears to be fine (to my non-mechanic eyes); the metal is intact all of the way around and it gives a...

    Electrical Gremlins

I had a look at the white wires that are connected to the positive battery terminal via red block connectors. They both seem to be fine. When you say they should read the same, is that the alternator + and ground should be reading the same as the battery + and - when running? If so, my...
