I took mines out from the top as we had a crane, took about 2 hrs to remove. I think there was a subframe for the engines mounts going front to back of the engine (can't remember if this was the micra or the primera) so we reckoned it was easier from above.

Check for exhaust leaks pre lambda. They a/f at wot in most gears will be around 12.3-13:1 ( I think not 100%) around the top of the range. Might be a small leak, Can you calibrate the AEM if so it may need calibrating. Try taking it to a place like dyno or rolling road to compare readings...

Heres the stock map from nistune. Should work if you copy the values correctly. Theres two maps for the fuel injection. One is wiht duty cylce and the other is the actual pulsewidth. Depends what the Hawk uses.
