And for those interested in performance, 0-60 is well under 10 seconds 2 up. Once I have sorted the shifter so I have more than reverse, neutral and drive I reckon it’s going to be nearer 8 seconds. It’s only half the weight of the car.

Well the first ride out went well, a lot quicker than the 1L manual setup. High motorway speeds without thinking (oops), steering is heavier with the seats further forwards so longer forks will be getting sorted. Anyone with a rusty micra, get some steel and have a go. It’s more fun than the car.

This is my 1.3 auto, made a couple of changes to the seat and front since this picture but you get the idea.

I have 1 last warning light to sort out, the gearbox warning light ( 1.3 withNCVT). I don’t have any of the original dashboard wiring as far as I can make out so would have to think I would be taking it off the ECU directly, or just down the line from it.
