I am currently having the same delimma. Parking is a pain but damn highspeed driving feels alot better with no power steering. I am not sure if i will put a power steering rack in my car :( Maybe try the nismo steering mounts? However i think they are discontinued, i spotted a pair on yahoo...

It makes the throw of the gearshift lever alot closer, hence short shift. However gear shifts also gets notchier in ratio of how much shorter your gearshifts are

the ecu is located just behind the pocket tray i believe. Or under the aircon/heater controls.
