Thermostat could be stuck. go for a drive at 50+mph if the temp. reads fairly low at constant speed then that's what i would check/replace thermostats are cheap.

It's because it's counted as read by you and dissapeared form YOUR list. it's bumped on everyone else's... don't worry. the reason for the other thread being at the top is because it has been updated by another user. So your seeing the same effects you want to achieve on other threads.
