Warning buzzer is strange. I've had trouble with USB-serial adaptors before with other types of serial communication devices. Try another laptop or computer & see if the USB works in that. Try a computer with a real serial port.

Why bother, there are plenty of other cars with wider rims & the same stud pattern, e.g. Pulsars, Honda's, Toyota's etc. It'd be cheaper to just buy another set. These are available in widths that you'd struggle to fit in the K11 wheel arches, even with major surgery.

You need to check the sensor with two wires. The single wire sensor is for the temp gauge. The same sensor is used on many other nissans so spare parts are easy to come by.

Also where it says "bolt?", all the JDM K11 I've taken apart have had front plastic mud flap of sorts that had to be unbolted first. I've always found a lot of mud between this part of the front wing & the sill behind. A likely rust trap if the paint were at all damaged.

Metal sound? Like the timing chain rubbing on the metal backing of the tensioners which have long since worn away? Or just rattly chain noise? At 140,000km mine makes a little noise when cold (nothing worrying) which goes away once warm.
