    Could be ! Could be - I fitted a new clutch about a year back, maybe it's on way out again ... many thanks - sound only made when under way so not easy to best judge where it is from. Everything is fine in 3rd/4th/5th gears.

    Rod replies to Frank With wheels straight, just normal moving off from still, like an old-fashioned "pionking" noise but more ominous ... Rod I meant to write "PINKING" ( not poinking or plonking or whatever it came out as ).

    :glance: :k10: Seems to be a fast ticking/clicking noise when taking up power in first and second gears. This can be avoided by moving off very slowly. Any ideas please ?
