Turned out my car just needed an esp reset, with a scanner for imported Japanese cars. 5 min job, all sorted. No underlying esp issue, just the throttle body unplugging caused the esp re set requirement. Phew.

All fixed. Was only 4 wires. Reattached, but red airbag/seat warning light kept on flashing. Did the 3 turns of ignition, wait 10 seconds, then do a 4th, leave on. Flashing slows down, and after 30 seconds, goes out, and then stays out. 😁

I still enjoy my car so much. It's in great condition. Dread the day it gives up and dies.

Some parts are so cheap for micras now, people desperate to sell things off. 12 orange light bulbs for indicators, only £5. Lovely orange indicators now, the mot tester cannot have any complaints about yellow ones now. 😅
