Thanks, yes the latest picture is from my friends car(its not my car im working on). I take it i have to pull the thing off and the hole becomes bigger.

Thanks for your response. I see what you mean now. I think it may have a mechanical speedo so will check. (not worked with a micra before hence the silly questions!)

How do I check that it is a faclift model. Does it have a silver grill on the front?
